The Authors

Well, here's a subject that's not normally discussed when talking about most cancers. But, oh boy, is it important!

When you first learned you had cancer you probably were only concerned about whether you would live or die. It's normal to lose interest in sex during this time.

Cancer treatments can make you feel less sexually attractive (it's hard to feel sexy when you are bald, have gained [or lost] a great deal of weight, and are missing some of your body parts.)

But, as you return to a more-normal routine your interest in sex will probably return. It's more than just sex, you know, it's sexuality. It's our need for closeness, touching, caring, and pleasure.

Learn to talk with your doctors and your partner about your sexual feelings and expectations. Fighting cancer is hard enough, don't add any more frustrations to it!

Here's a list of publications about
sex and cancer.

By definition this material is adult in content.
