There are more than 100 types of cancers.

Each type of cancer has it's own treatment and survival rate.

Cancer can be treated with surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, medicines, hormones, or a combination of several of these.

For information on a specific type of cancer choose from the options at the left.

If you don't find resource information here about a specific type of cancer:

  • in the United States, call the American Cancer Society at 1-800-ACS-2345 or the National Cancer Institute at 1-800-4-CANCER.
  • outside the United States, please contact us with your specific search question.

You can also search the Internet for other cancer-related information. Use any of the search engines or directories and use the key-word "cancer". Refine your search with the type of cancer or resource, (for example: "cancer" AND "uterine".) If you need assistance in your search please let us know.

Good luck on your search. We hope this information is helpful to you.
